I have been chosen the be a Scoutmaster for this year's upcoming World Jamboree. The event will be held on July 20th-August 2nd 2019. It will be held at the BSA Summit in West Virginia. Cost is estimated at $2,300.00. This includes: airfare to and from event, transportation to and from the airport to the event, all meals, event costs, preparation costs, use of all tenting, cot, cooking supplies and traveling bags.
What's left you might ask? Your uniforms and BSA class B's, meal kit, drinking devices, hiking boots, trading supplies, sleeping bag and pillow. You will also need to get yourself to and from the Minneapolis airport. I will be using Skyline shuttle. (Cost is about $45.00 each way) A few other necessities might need to be added but that covers the main items. Plus any monies you want for stuff.
So if you are interested in this event, go to the attached links for additional information and details. There is room for 32 boys; 16 are already signed up. YOU WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL TO 2 MEETINGS OUT OF TOWN IN PREPARATION; location TBD. This event is offered once every 4 years; usually in other countries, so this trek, being in the USA, is as inexpensive as it will ever be. There are also scholarships available.
